Anyone going to Teesside uni to study Concept art? I got a conditional offer (need 64 ucas points as I'm doing the foundation year, which is easily attainable)

I think I might be! I can't decide whether to or not. What made you choose Teesside?

My friend showed me a prospectus he got and I saw that the concept art course is pretty good. I was about to go to DeMontfort but the course I wanted to do isn't covered under student finance >_< I think the things that tipped Teesside as my first choice is the unistats for concept art were better than my other choice (Norwich), the course leader was really nice when I talked to him on the phone and accommodation is cheaper than other unis I was looking at, the university itself looks really cool as well. Plus can't go wrong with a free ipad and recorded lectures
edit: Plus Concept art is the area I want to get into, so a course that specialises in that area sounds a lot better for me than general Games art.

I love you already, my other choice was Norwich too! I wanted to go to DMU but I got a hard no. lmao.
I want to get into concept art but I also want to learn the 3D aspect desperately too. I'm just not sure if Teesside do life drawing through out the entire time you're there!
AaaAaAHhh. XD That's awesome though! I'm really stuck between Norwich and Teesside but hearing your opinion really helps so thank you so much for replying to me omg

xD really? Wow what a coincidence! I'm pretty sure teesside do life drawing, especially in foundation since they nees you to build up observational drawing and basic stuff like anatomy and perspective 😁

I'd say have a look at both and see what appeals to you more, with me distance is a problem since I live in Northamptonshire, but after talking to my mum and dad about it it's not much of an issue at all; the national express return ticket is so far the cheapest option (even if it takes 7 hours '____'), even then driving only takes 2 hours and shouldn't be too bad on petrol.

But yeah have a look at the course content on both and see what has the most modules that are relevant to you Maybe see you there xD
