So among others ( Cardiff, Bristol and Surrey) I hold offers from the Lancaster and Reading universities.I really like both but Lancaster is really far and does not have a placement year whereas Reading is very conviently placed and has a placement year. I don't know which one to make my firm choice..If this helps my course is Biomedical Sciences and I am a foreigner ..

Of the five you mentioned Bristol and Lancaster probably have the best reputation, I don’t know if you know this but Lancaster requires you to do an additional subject in your first year (you can choose anything it’s an extra) so that might sway your decision in some way... placement year is useful so Reading might be good ..

I don't really think that an extra subject is a big problem, my main concern is the lack of the placement year..Bristol has one but I've heard that it is quite hard to graduate from and its ways are traditional and it intimidates me a bit..
