Me and my friend are organising a history club for year 7s after school. We are just making history topics more fun for them by including fun and game such as sword making with Lego and a treasure hunts.

We’re struggling to come up with any more ideas of what to do in the history club. We still want the year 7s to learn about the battle of Hastings and the Black Death but we want them to have more fun so they won’t be boring writing all the time.

Hey Chloe its a great idea and will look good on your UCAS application.

there are some ideas further down this thread, but local history, museums, re-enactment society visits are good.

I liked the idea of watching a few films and showing why they are inaccurate, journals, local history, food and recipes, conspiracies.

The ancient egypt bingo looked good or other games they might have played. Codebreaking and secret messages is also a good one.
