Get a good grade in psychology undergrad, potentially take a relevant masters and get at least 2 years or relevant full-time work experience (pref paid)
Clinical psychologists need a 2.1 or a First from a BPS accredited Psychology degree, and then go on to a masters, PhD or ClinDoc. For this however you need at least a years experience in a clinical setting (most people go for an assistant psychologist post in the NHS).
This then gives you the relevant experience for the Doctorate. Clinical Psychologists all need a Doctorate to gain the title.
Any relevant experience you can get working with people would help too, whether it’s volunteering with youth clubs or if you can tailor it to mental health groups, that’s even better.
I hope this helps😊
