Independently studying GCSE Maths in Northern Ireland

I'd be grateful for some advice.

What is the main GCSE examining board in Northern Ireland?

Where can I find specifications / syllabus?

What are some really good textbooks for GCSE Maths in Northern Ireland?

Any advice for someone wanting to study it independently?

Many thanks.
What level of maths do you want to do? Foundation or Higher? You are best doing CCEA's maths GCSE as it is the local one. Best place to buy textbooks is Eason and the specification is on their website.
Thanks for responding. It would be to study the full range of topics at GCSE level with a view to doing the exam (with the aim to get a grade C or above).
These are the required exams you’ll have to sit to get certain grades:
D - T1
C - T2 and T5
B - T3
A - T6
A* - T4

I have only sat T2/5 so I’m not sure where you’d have to go for the other tiers.

Contact your local further education college for more information as I know Belfast Met has some maths GCSE courses.

If you are self-teaching you aren't restricted to CCEA (the NI exam board). Indeed I'd suggest the mainland boards will have more resources/textbooks/revision guides.

e.g. this exam centre in Belfast covers all the main exam boards
https://www.conwayeducation.org/examination-centre

NB. I have no idea if that centre is any good or their costs.

CCEA exams are around £20 each. (That’s how much they appear to cost according to my school)

Probably not if you are a private candidate - i.e. not enrolled at that school. Many schools don't allow external candidates, and if they do they charge a lot more.
Many thanks for all your help.
