I am looking at doing an undergraduate degree starting in September 2018. I already have a BA (Hons) degree in a totally unrelated subject from many years ago (1990-1993). I am wondering if I will be entitled to any finance at all, such as tuition loans, maintenance, adult careers (I now have a daughter)?

    Many Thanks

    Hi Tatkins,

I just need to ask a couple of questions in order to help you out there.

What is the course you're planning on doing now?

What qualification does it lead to?

    Thank you,

    John.

    Hi Tatkins,

Thanks very much for answering those questions.

As you already hold a BA (hons), this means you'd be ineligible for funding for an Equivalent Level Qualification (ELQ), so you wouldn't be able to receive the Tuition Fee Loan or Maintenance Loan.

However, you can still receive supplementary grants such as the Childcare Grant and the Parents Learning Allowance, here is an overview of eligibility for those grants and funding.

    I hope this information helps.

    Kind regards,

    John.
