how can I improve from a D to an A as now I am doing AS exams and we have done 6 assessments since September when we started the course .
I guess there are still 4/5 assessments left .and if I want to get the predictions of A can I do better in these other assessments so they do balance out with the 6 ?
would that make my prediction an A ??
    btw my mock was a D since the beginning I have been getting B C C D D(from mock ).
I need a lot of help and advice .
(this is about AS level Biology .)

Obviously, it takes a lot of getting used to the a-level structure, so they most probably won't take the earlier grades into account that much. What order have you got your grades in? Have you gotten worse?

Your second year predictions are based off your work ethic in first year and your actual AS results. Assessments that take place throughout the year don't really recognise full ability sometimes. I got a C in my mock in an exam I wanted an A in, but I dropped a lot of marks because we weren't actually taught how to answer the question. Don't panic and focus on your final exams.
