    Hey everyone.

Just wondering if someone can help me. I have just passed all my assessments for the Ambulance service and currently waiting on my DBS check. When I had my interview I had to disclose any cautions that I received. 5 years ago I received a caution

    Event that happened:

Me and my ex split up after I came out of the forces to find that he had been sleeping with my friend the whole time. Anyways we didn’t have a joint account but instead saved and put money in to his account every month. When I found out all this. I obviously was in historical especially after being together for 6 years, and demanded my money back. He flat out refused so when I went round to collect the rest of my stuff, I took his debit card and withdrew some of my money from the cash machine in town. He then decided to call the police on me and I got a caution for
Theft from dwelling and also making a false representation for self gain.

So I’m now stuck with these 2 on my criminal record!

Anyways, in the interview I disclosed the theft one as in my head it was on the same day so merged in to one.

So I’m a little worried if it’s going to ping back against me. I did however obtain 2 really good references from my previous employers.

If someone could help that would be great.

    Much love

Presumably you were over 18 when this happened?

Although cautions are spent immediately, they can still remain on your record for six years and then most will be filtered. If it had been six years, then it would not show. Unfortunately it will still be there imo if you were given a caution for each offence.

You should tell the employer and they can bear it in mind, but first speak to NACRO and they can advise you on how to present it. I would say you thought it was all one. They might not be bothered tbh, especially as you will have told them about the event.

Thank you for your help. I will do my best to contact them today, and yes unfortunately it happened when I was 19 years old.

    Kind regards
