What much money do you spend per week and how hard is it to find an interesting job as a student?

i wouldnt say that you should look for an interesting job. If your over 18 then look for night shift jobs as you get paid more for them

So this very much depends on where you are in the country and how much student loan you get, but most people I know spend anywhere in between £10-25 a week on food and going out (with a solid average of £15).

I don't think it's too difficult to find a part-time job as a student. There's usually quite a few on-campus jobs, as well as retail and hospitality opportunities in University areas. As for interesting? Depends on your definition of that

This depends on so many things! What do you tend to eat and how much? Do you cook for yourself? Are you likely to go out and socialise (and drink) on a regular basis? Do you like to update your wardrobe regularly? How much is your accommodation costing and does it leave you much money spare?

I’m in my final year of university, I spend around £60 per week which includes £20-30 on a food shop (but I cook everything myself, don’t do ready meals, and eat three hearty meals a day plus snacks).
The rest is saved for the weekend when my boyfriend comes to see me and will probably go on a meal out and some drinks, a cinema trip, or maybe a new piece of clothing/shoes.

I’m second year I did a lot less updating my wardrobe, spent less on food, but also went out to the student night every Wednesday so probably spent around £40 per week then. However I also had a part time job at a local bar and managed to save a few hundred over the year which was then spent on one holiday in the summer 😂

Also factor in how often you’re likely to go home, transport costs, and the amount that will save you in terms of food.

Well depends, currently I’m probably spending £50-60 a week, I don’t have a job so I’m trying to save as much as possible so I only spend the minimum with the basic which is food and transportation. Sporadically I may order in or eat out but I always cook my own meals
