Has anyone had their Adult Nursing interview at UWE this year? If so, would anyone be willing to give examples of questions they asked what what the group interview was like? Thanks

    Hi 123blouise,

Generally the group interview is more observed group working. Previous cohorts have had an exercise where they interpret a photograph of a patient/relative/healthcare professional and they assess the photo in question. If they deem it shows a patient it is often about recognising and reporting in a sort of presentation what you think these needs are and how a nurse would address them.

Other group work has included testing your ability to work in a team e.g. how would you prioritise different items or pieces of equipment to take/use in emergency situations? How do you prioritise which one as most important? That kind of thing.

The group work is often reported as the most enjoyable part of the day as it is gives prospective students the chance to work closely with the group they are placed in at the start of the selection event.

I have worked as a student ambassador for UWE and have helped a large number of students with queries etc on selection events so don't worry there will be lots more people you can ask questions of on the day too!

I hope you enjoy it and if you do decide UWE is for you - welcome!

    Hope the day goes well.

    Best wishes,

    Claire
