Im half way through the first year of A levels, and from mocks and past papers I have done I am currently on a U in Chemistry, a E in Physics and a D in Maths. My Head of year has told me that it is too late to study for my subjects. My Physics teacher told me it will be impossible for me to get my target of a B however possibly I could get a D. My chemistry teacher told me that unless I get a C or above in the next past paper in two weeks I wont be doing the exam. In mathematics my teacher believes ill be fine.

My question is should I leave 6th form now, and try my best to get a job so that I can gain work experience and then try for a college course. Should I carry on in 6th form and not do my exams and then re do the first year? Should I continue in 6th form for now and apply for apprenticeships for next year?

I did well in my GCSE's I got 1A*, 6A, 5B therefore I do not want to possibly have 3E in A level. I am very unmotivated at the moment and I spend most of my time rewriting and improving my CV so that I can apply for apprenticeships. I do not enjoy 6th form since I do not like the type of teaching (my teachers read out of books and tell us what to write down- this is not how I learn and take in information). I enjoy working which is why I want to apply for an apprenticeship.

Hahaha, your teachers suck major a**.

Show them next time what grades you're capable of achieving; f***ing idiots.

EDIT: initial post wasn't very helpful so...

Do your best in your A Levels and do what you want afterwards; these are important and if you want to get an apprenticeship then if you want as many options as possible you'll need A Levels (or equivalent in some cases).

You have good GCSEs as well.

You are not the only one, we just did mocks and awaiting to hear the results, my Bio teacher really scary guy said that he will "bash" anyone who gets a U...which will be the whole class I am guessing
