Funding for USA

Am I eligible for a student loan to study in the USA?
I am currently studying BTEC sport and have been offered the opportunity of a soccer scholarship in the USA but would still need to finance approx £6000 per year.
If not do you know if any other ways of help with funding please?

Hi Joejoe12,

To be eligible for SFE funding your course would need to be in the UK. You could certainly study a year abroad as part of your course or a placement year, but the whole course couldn't be in the USA.

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to advise on funding from a third party, other students on the forum may be able to give you some information. It may be worthwhile contacting the university as they may be able to point you in the right direction.
