component grade boundaries vs subject grade boundaries

Hey, i have just done a further maths practise paper, and when i checked the grade boundaries, there are 2 grade boundaries for it, the component grade boundaries and the subject grade boundaries. My score was 57/70, and on the component grade boundaries, this is an A*. Would this mean that i now have no chance of getting an A^ ,even if i get higher than the A^ on paper 2 for the component grade boundaries and overall get a mark in the A^ band in the subject grade boundaries. I understand what i just asked may be confusing since i didn't word it very well, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks
