    Hi,

I have a PhD interview in Northumbria coming up. I have no experience of this uni and haven't so much as looked around it before - I applied because of the great academics there who are leading in my area of interest in the Law department. I have some questions for anyone who's done postgrad study there (particularly in the Law School).

I'm particularly interested in what the success rate is of PhD students there (haven't been able to find this info online), what the interview process will be like, and if there are opportunities/expectations to teach. Also I'm interested in just hearing what your general experience was like, in case I missed anything important.

    Thanks in advance.

Your experience will very much depend on the dept and what you want to get out of it. Success rate in terms of getting onto the program or finishing your PhD? They will give you info about what the interview process will be about and if not email and ask. With teaching again it'll vary but it's a good question to ask at interview and show an interest in teaching and gaining academic skills.
