I need help with chemistry revision. I feel like I understand the work when I have my notes with me but I have no idea how to do questions without them.
I revise with past papers but I don't know what else to do. Any other methods that I could try ?

Are you using the mark schemes?

Try this method.

Exam question + books + unlimited time.
Exam question+ notes + limited time.
Exam question + no notes + unlimited time.
Exam question + no notes + timed i.e exam conditions.

Mark schemes and workbooks.

Dr Boes makes flash notes, but not sure which one is the closest to wjec, youd have to compare specs to one of the major exam boards, but several students have fund them helpful. He does a set for each major exam board.

Yeah I mark my answers to the mark scheme but I never get the main points in bold so I lose marks. I will try that method.

That makes it harder for yourself gradually. Its a good way of training into exams. Also look on Amazon for any AS workbooks as they have answers as well and short questions to keep on testing memory and application plus timing.

WJEC also may have decent support materials so look at the website.

Also use youtube for things you dont understand.

As far as revision books are concerned look at the spec, but its still the same A level chemistry others are studying..

This might be quite some time ago but just in case you see it, can questions from other exam boards help because i've run out of questions from the new spec

Try questions from Eduqas as well (same spec as WJEC, english version) and old spec questions, can still be quite useful.
