Hi I’m currently at the last year of high school and want to join the navy as a marine engineer but I have a couple of options
    Join at 16
Do two years at tech and join a rank higher
Take a year to work then join
Any feed back would be appreciated thanks

Apply now, the exams aren't easy. Then if you don't pass you can take the route of doing tech and then reapplying in 2 years time.

You wouldn't really be joining at a higher rank of you waited until you're 18, you either join as a seaman or you join as an officer; but to join as an engineering officer you'd need an engineering degree.

The best answer is that you should always finish school, because the forces are not guaranteed.

If I do a btech level 3 extended diploma I can do the accelerated apprentiship program and at the end I join as a leading hand after two years at tech where as if I join now in two year I will be the same rank
