I applied for a degree in English language & have received 5 offers but I think I’ve chosen the wrong course and would prefer to do History. I haven’t firmed any yet and I’ve looked at the history courses for the Uni’s I’ve applied to and they look really interesting. How difficult would it be to try and switch courses and who do I contact regarding this/what would I say? Thank you (:

    Hi there,

You may be able to make an additional UCAS application by using UCAS extra -

    https://www.ucas.com/ucas/undergradu.../extra-choices

You could also decline your offers and go into a system called UCAS Clearing once you have your A-level results. This will allow you to look for History Degrees that still have available places and apply -

If you would like to talk through this in more depth we're here to support you and you can chat to an adviser online here -

    Best of luck!

Contact the unis and ask if they'd be willing to consider a switch. You may be asked for a new PS. If not you will have to withdraw your application and go through clearing.

Ignore the advice in post #2 you would only need to use Extra to change university

Ring your universities and ask them if you can change to history and if they need anything from you (like a new PS) - worst they can say is no and then you know not to firm them!
