I intend to live at home for university and whilst I have my own savings from working a part time job, my mum will also help me out with costs for books and such. So, is it worth the additional stress of paying back a maintenance loan when I won't have to think about rent and social life? (I am doing a midwifery course, so won't be going out very often haha!)

Any thoughts please let me know!

On a midwifery salary you wont make many more years repayment for a tuition fee loan only or a tuition fee loan plus maintenance loan (according to https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/st...nce-calculator you will be repaying your tuition fees alone until the 30 yr cutoff so the maintenance loan would not change your repayments)...so while you might not want to cash now it might be worth considering taking out the loan to help pay for housing and transport costs....

Thank you! It's something to think about for sure
