Hi I've got offers for MEng Chemical Engineering from both.
I'm under the impression that UCL's chem eng department is one of their weakest with poor student satisfaction etc, whilst chem eng is one of manchester's best departments.

However, UCL has a better overall rep and would be better if I were to work outside of engineering e.g. finance/consulting, and there is a significant chance that i will.

    Which one is better?
For ChemEng Manchester is better in my opinion. However, you should choose the university that you like.

Manchester but you should be more concerned with picking a uni you like than one with a better reputation.
