    Hi,

I last took A-levels in 2015 and took a few years off. I've already completed an A-level in Chem, but need to do it again with practical endorsement for an offer.

Would you recommend OCR A or Edexcel for someone who is self teaching? Which one has better books to revise from and has simpler practicals? Does one have more past papers to revise from?

    Background:

In 2015 I actually did Edexcel Chem and didn't think that the papers were that great (the old Facer book was great, but had too much info at times), and did OCR Bio A and thought those papers were pretty good. Now that it seems all of the specs have changed and A-levels are linear, I'm really stuck between choosing one because I can't just retake modules.

    Thanks in advance!

Download and compare the specification. Dont forget AQA. I think they should both have enough revision books. The Dr Boes flash revision notes are very popular.
