    Im in a totally unsure decision. My grandad is extremely unwell back in india, can i really take 10 schooldays off now. If i do what will happen as ive taken about 8 schooldays off already.

    If you have a proper reason then yh u should be allowed to

    I'm sure i've taken more than 10 days off in year 11 and nothing really happened, as long as you're strong-willed and determined to catch up on work you've missed out on, it's not that bad, although GCSEs are coming up quite soon but you still have a few months left, just don't leave it to last minuite. I personally don't think you should let school interfere with your family, such as your grandad who is unwell which I'm sorry to hear. I'm sure if you explain your situation to your school you should be fine

    You and your private life always come before education. Take time with your grandpa, and catch up if it's dire when you have some free time. I wish you all well. X

    No, but do remember some schools do give you study leave. Have a word with your tutors and you may be able to carry on doing the work via the internet or the like.

    Sorry to hear his unwell, but I am sure he would want the best for you, especially with such a short time to your exams.
