So this year I'm applying to nursing ( woop finally I'm 21 lol), I've got 4 interviews and im so happy. But recently my cousin has came to stay with us and he is a registered sex offender. I'm wondering when I do my CRB check are they going to turn me down because we live together?

He wont have contact with your patients - so why would this be an issue?

Lol well, if it affects us he said he would leave if needs be, but my family are so in denial about the whole situation, so my parents would probably think I'm overacting.. just to protect him lol

with nursing it won't affect you. your police check is done on you and you alone. however the police have mentioned this as if you were to apply for certain jobs, ie in the police force, Your check looks at who you're living with, Your finances etc as well. It's all dependent on the field you're working in. however nursing is not looking at who you reside with.

During your DBS the local police force can add any information they deem relevant to the post you are applying for. Whether they would disclose that you lived with a registered sex offender would be entirely at their discretion however I would think it would be unlikely.
