I got a really low grade for my AS Music, so I requested a transcript of the marking and the comments the examiner has written on it are really humiliating and rude. I don't agree with them at all - I know I'm not really in a position to say since I'm the candidate - but the things they've said are just horrid, and don't even seem to be remotely related to my work, but more assumptions on my personal life. Not really sure what I can do..

There's not much you can do I guess, I assume it's not like a test thing where you can get it remaked correct me if I'm wrong tho, I'm doing AS and I'm struggling I'm skipping a day of school today and debating if I should

It's in there already To update, I wrote a sent a formal complaint to the exam board office address to get out of the "student>remark>contact your exam center>see the website>student>remark" pass-the-buck loop, but haven't heard anything back yet.

Good call. Keep us updated on how it transpires. If you think comments are personally insulting, you should definitely have grounds there for a complaint. I've known comments about someone's work to be hurtful, but never of an examiner actually getting personal with a candidate.

Hey Clara i recall this thread, but thought I had responded.

The exam board normally has course leaders and you could have sent it there as well.

Hopefully you kept a copy and they will enter it into the official complaints system. The remarks sound unprofessional.

You did the right thing an even if nothing comes of it, then you will feel better. Hope you get an apology and refund
    .

    Keep us informed.
