Hi, I am planning on taking History, Maths and Chemistry at A-Level next year but wanted to know if I should be taking English Literature instead of either Maths or Chemistry. Would only taking one essay based subject harm my chances of getting into UCL or Oxbridge?

Sorry I just realised I basically asked two questions, do you mean I wouldn’t be able to get into a top university or that it wouldn’t harm my chances?
    Thanks

    It wouldn't harm your chances.

History, English Lit and Maths are the 3 most common subjects studied for Law at Oxbridge (in that order)

As long as you have one essay subject, no one will care.
