    1. The biggest issue is whether your school will let you, often they do not.
    2. As for repeating a year and the experience, then don't worry and it soon settles down. It will go quickly and its a good choice. #1 is the issue.

    depends on what its for. im at mine for an extra year for a foundation diploma after i finished my a-levels and its pretty standard. like the person above said, it depends on if youre allowed.

    Quite a few people in the year above and in my year repeated a year at school/college. No one judged or cared so I wouldn't worry about that. I think go for it, it's for your future so you may as well get the most out of your education. I didn't get good A2 grades but I knew it was mostly down to not revising and the thought of another year of school did not appeal to me. So I just took a year out and retook my exams in the summer. A few people in my year stayed on and retook the year and all the lessons. They seemed to get on fine but obviously it isn't as good when everyone else in your year has left.
    But yeah definitely look into it if you can.
