Hello,
Right now I'm a Year 12 student in Sixth form studying Level 3 Cambridge Technicals in Digital Media and health and social care. I really need advice because it's hard for me to balance coursework units and exam revision for both of my subjects where for media I have two courseowrk units right now and one exam unit whereas for health and social care I have three coursework units and three exams. Therefore I need to qually spend time on both of my subjects and meet coursework deadlines and pass my exams so that at the end of this year I will receive good grades so that I can apply to university from September. I would be more than happy if somebody would give me advice on how I can balance all that work between the subjects equally to get good grades in both or tell me how can I set up a revision planner. Thank you

Hi! I am doing the Cambridge Technicals Level 3 in Health and Social Care alongside 3 other A-levels, out of which 2 are sciences- so, I totally understand you in terms of finding it hard to balance the coursework and preparation for exams. I would suggest that for Health and Social Care you always start writing up your assignments as soon as they are assigned to you. I've only recently started doing that as up to now, I was a night owl before the due in day. Also, break the assignment down into bits- at our school, we do a range of presentations, reports, videos etc to meet each specific learning objective and I try to cover at least one task (presentation, report or even a simple plan) per week, depending of how far the deadline is. Planning makes everything a whole lot easier: make a photocopy of the criteria of each chapter (can find this in the textbook) and add in dates by which you want to complete them. This way, you can keep on top of the work and always know where to take it from each time you decide to write up something.
