How long do a withdrawal bleed last on the pill watch

    Hi ,,, so I've recently just gone on the pill microgynon 30 and got told to start it when my next period comes which was last Wednesday my periods normally last 6 days but im still on like I had my period last Wednesday and I shouldve finished this Tuesday and I did but then the next day I started bleeding again and it's still happening now it is light but I just want to know how long it will last please someone get back in touch ASAP thankyou in advance

    Things can be irregular when starting to take or changing pill. If you've just started taking it, this is probably a reaction to that - you won't get a 'withdrawal bleed' until your week-long break after taking it for three weeks.

    If you're worried, you can go back to wherever gave you the prescription, but you should find this bleeding stops in a few days.

    Yes, it's almost certainly a reaction to this new intake of hormones.
