Anyone who's doing a Maths degree, what kinda things are you learning in the 2nd year?
What are your modules and what kinda things do they involve? How much more difficult/interesting is it from the 1st year?

It depends. Obviously they're more difficult, there tends to be more choice so you can pickthe ones that interest you. Again, depending on your choices, some modules will be following on from first year and others will be completely new. It depends a lot on your uni as to whats on offer though. For example in semester 1 at Leeds I did Real Analysis 2 (a follow on) and Math Logic (something completely new and different)

Is it only that much difficult if you're doing an extension of a previous module (that you did in the 1st year).

For example in my 1st year I did Statistics 1, and I'm gonna do Statistics 2 in the 2nd year which is obviously gonna be harder.

But in the 2nd year I'm also doing Applied Mathematics, which is something new that I've never done before (properly anyway).

Dunno if that made sense. lol
