Has anyone said to guy that you are just friends and then a few months later actually wanted a relationship with them?

Yep - sometimes feelings just take a bit longer to develop

Ok my situation is a girl said to be she would like to be just friends after we dated a few times, even though I understand that is her opinion and I can't change that right now, I still think we got on really well to make it into something more than just friends. I have stopped communicating with her, hoping that in a months time she will realise and would want to meet up again.

Or does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

I did responded by saying when we could meet up again if she wanted to.
