lang or lit
If you mean lit, its a bit of a step up, and it's harder to get marks; I got an A* at GCSE but in the mocks at AS level, I got a C. You'll learn a lot more about literary devices and spotting them in text, and you'll be asked to compare two novels, a play and a load of poems. It can be tricky learning how to write concisely but with enough detail, but you learn to do that throughout the course and by talking to your teacher. Maybe ask the teacher for some examples of lesson content and examples of AS level and A2 level essays so that you can get a better idea of the course??
