Hello! I study humanities at university and I am currently on a placement year. I received two job offers last year - one from EA and one from a pharmaceutical company. I was really ill so had to pick the start date that was later (the pharmaceutical). It was my dream to work at EA because I love the industry. I am finishing up my pharmaceuticals placement now and was going to do a SECOND one-year placement at EA as I think it would be hard to get into this industry after graduation? The job is a lot to do with data, but my current job in pharmaceuticals is just data and I'm not enjoying it... I'm not too sure if the field itself is boring me. I have to make a decision soon, what should I do?

This means I'll be away from my year and have to enter third year alone. Opinions?

Not sure what EA stands for but getting a foot in the door at this stage if you want to work in the field is a good idea. You can explore other aspects of it if you like and learn about the industry. You can make new friends. Most people who take the year out do that. After all you will graduate and go separate ways anyway and your good friends will stay in touch no matter where you are.
