I got ABC in my A levels, but I'm resitting a paper to hopefully get it up to ABB - would I be likely to receive an offer from the university with these grades?

Also do they consider the EPQ when making their offers? (i.e will they reduce the offer by 1 grade if you get an A in the EPQ like other unis?)

    Thank you

The EPQ doesn't provide any extra credit during the selection process as not every student attends a centre that offers it.

The minimum offer for MA History and Archeology is ABB, so you're literally on the knife edge, and the minimum offer is only really made to students that have contextual flags from datasets like POLAR3. Also, the offer rate was 44% last year.

So I'm going to take it as a no?

Possibly. Still worth applying if you're considering Edinburgh.

Your personal statement is what really sets you out from the rest on knife-edge applications, you still have a chance.
