    Why does the water level in X rise? Shouldn't it fall as the water reacts with the iron forming rust? Answer is D. PLEASE HELP URGENT !!!

    Edit: Still can't see it. The water and oxygen in air react with the iron to form hydrated iron (III) oxide (rust). The water level rises because oxygen is used up
