    I received a nhs bursary in 2001-4 and obtained an advanced diploma in adult nursing I am wanting to change career and applying for a foundation degree in canine and feline studies, what I would like to know being a lone parent will I be eligible for a student fees loan

    I m afraid that a degree in that subject is on the list of exemption subjects so you can't get any funding from student finance for it.

    Hi bojoella,

    Please note that previous time spent on an NHS courses will count as Previous Study as normal if the new course is non-NHS and the Previous Study Calculation will apply also we will not fund an equivalent or lower level qualification.

    Once you gain the Foundation degree are you looking to study further in this field?
