You won’t get into a medical field with a grade 4 in English language. English language is more important than English lit. You cant be a dentist or an optometrist either as unis typically favour people with grade 7s in English and maths and A*s in the three sciences. If I were you I would either retake science and English or just reevaluate your choices

I want to do medicine, however, I only got a grade 4 in English language and a grade 5 in English literature. I got 3bs in science and 7 in maths. I've seen most unis and they want a B least in English language.I am currently studying Bio, Maths, and chem at a level. Is there a point of me trying for medicine and if not is there any other good courses you would recommend which go along the lines of medicine/dentistry.
I'm sure you can do medicine with a foundation year. You're guaranteed a place after the foundation year and get full funding. Or just apply for a 3 year medicine degree and resit the GCSES you need and list them as pending results on Ucas and the uni will make them conditions. And no, it is not unrealistic if medicine is a passion of yours. There's certainly ways around your situation. Do well at a level and you're sorted, the rest can be resolved.

As said, you need to get that English grade higher.
