568 normal maths
570 further maths

P1 = 100
P2 = 93
P3 = 97
P4 = 85
P5 = 97
P6 = 82

S1 = 98
S2 = 100
S3 = 98

M1 = 98
M2 = 95
M3 = 95

Dunno if that adds up, but it should roughly.

hey, no matter what they say i got 100 on p3!!!! It's cos I got arrogant and pointed out the mistakes in their questions that they probably took the mark away from me on...I HAD EVERYTHING RIGHT AND THEY KNOW IT!

I'm stupid enough to choose CompSci instead of maths and crashes every single computer I've used since God knows when.

I'll hate you even more if dared to say you've got 100 on P3. Then again, I got a 1 and a 1 on STEP II and III. Kind compensated a bit. But unless of course you got 2 Ss (Asses?).

Maths: 480/600
Further Maths: 481/600
Applied: 291/300
Mechanics: 295/300

I did pretty badly on a couple of modules (M6 and all of the statistics)

Not really. Just had the worst modules shoved in there... Look at my last 2.

Hehe I have 2 friends who got nearly full marks in maths. I can never understand how people can do so well in maths - it makes no sense to me!

Ah yeah, didn't know it worked like that.

Yep. They pick your worst six modules, which give you the best mark possible and shove them into maths A-level, then do the same for further maths and so on.

So if you had 7 modules and did Maths A-level and the marks were:

79, 79, 79, 79, 79, 83, 60, they will use all of the modules except for the 83 just in case you will take more modules later for some other qualification (further, applied, stats, mech, whatever)
p1- 100
p2- 98
p3- 100
p4- 100
s1- 100
m1- 100
m2 - 99
d1 - 100
d2 - 100

Incidentally, and not assuming anything here, if you're looking for an indication of the mathematical level you need for oxbridge, i wouldn't worry about ums, rather step grades, anything other 550+ ums is indicative of high ability, but i wouldn't call a 595 mathmo better than a 560, you simply can't tell.
