I have been set some work on the kite runner however, I am not sure where to start with answering the questions.

"How the differences between Amir and Hassan presents social and political issues?"
"How description of the setting, such as the boys' homes, presents social and political issues?"

    Thank you!

The clear difference between Amir and Hassan is their religious backgrounds - Pashtuns and Hazaras. You could discuss this and the parallels Hosseini created between their relationship and the relationship of a master and servant. These factors show that, despite their apparent friendship, there will always be a social divide between them because of their religious differences, though this is heightened further through Amirs cruel treatment of Hassan.
Hassan lives at the end of Amirs Garden in a small shack - this clearly demonstrates the physical and metaphorical divide between them. Just expand on points like this. Talking about the differences between America and Kabul might also be an interesting point here, if you can successfully link it in!

Thank you so much! Yeah I have discussed the differences between their social classes and how this affects them both. We hadn't got to the part where they go to America yet however, I will keep that in mind. Thank you!
