Milk actually sometimes needs to be put in first if you are drinking from fine china or other simmilar teacups, the milk obviously cools the incoming tea, without it you could shatter the teacup something very bad.
Actually the need to put milk in first to prevent the cup shattering is a sign of having inferior china. The expensive, good-quality stuff can cope with having the hot water in first. See this article for slightly more info: https://allabouttea.co.uk/tea-news/s...first-or-last/.

Inferior is subjective, getting china today that can withstand it is very easy, but I am certainly not going to let my antique china teacups take any wear from the potential breaking. Nor am I going to do anything to damage my extremely rare Holkham vintage anniversary cup that is one of 500 ever made.

As far as I'm concerned the addition of milk to most cereals is criminal.
Hear, hear! Why would anyone want to make their cereal soggy by adding milk?

    Mr Speaker,

If we are going to criminalise the addition of skim milk in tea, or the addition of milk before tea, why don't we criminalise the mixing of tea and milk? After all, the proper way of drinking tea is without milk. Now that we are going to leave the EU, if we want a better relationship and trade deal with China, perhaps we should start drinking tea without milk. What's the point of adding milk to tea when that would just drown out the flavour of the tea, and thereby the point of tea? Tea and milk are separate beverages.

Before you get yourself beaten up on the street for saying such blasphemy you need to realise that Chinese tea (and other Asian) teas are meant to be without milk, the teas that we have cultivated in those places are perfectly fine with milk

I do – I just like hot cereal. You pour the cereal, then the milk, put it in the microwave for a minute then enjoy warm cereal

    Spoiler:
    Show

I'm actually careless af, and once I forgot to pour the milk altogether and put the cereals straight in the microwave dry and that's the story of how I managed to burn a bowl of Coco Pops

Just the sort of deviancy I'd expect from a libertarian. Closest thing to hot cereal that is acceptable is porridge

I find it utterly abhorrent that people dare to use fully skimmed milk and even worse, put milk in first for tea and cereal!!!
    (Original post by CountBrandenburg)
I admire Joe for refusing to put Coffee on here because after all if someone puts milk in with coffee, it is an unspoken part of the British justice system that they receive the death penalty by caffeine poisoning.
Call me a #FakeLiber if you want, but I will be voting Aye on this when it goes to Division

I agree with my former colleague on this. It is utterly atrocious and may or may not lead to further radicalisation in future. Tracksuits are disgusting and should be banned as well (except for sleeping and physical activity) and if this were to continue, it will almost be definite that they will 'discover' other abhorrent ideologies such as tracksuits as above and chavism/roadmanism. Disgusting.
Furthermore, Socialism will also be discovered. We must prevent this from happening.
Despite the fact that Pakistani Tea is far superior to English tea and English tea is nowhere near as good, I hate it when people put milk in Tea first and cereal. Best idea to prevent this is to have Asian tea, when you don't even need water. In fact here is a recipe:

    1. Fill large pan 80% with water and bring to rapid boil (optional, I prefer not to, if you do, step 5 will be negated).
    2. add tea . boil two minutes.
    3. add rounded tbs. chai masala, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom. boil 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. (you don't really need the spices, I don't that often).
    4. add sugar. bring to soft boil, adjust heat to medium ( do not allow to boil over!).
    5. add milk. allow to heat just under boiling. remove from heat. cool two minutes.
    6. pour into cups using tea strainer. serve very hot.

WARNING: THERE MAY OR BE CURDS/WHEY WHEN YOU BOIL THAT MILK. DO NOT WORRY! AS LONG AS YOU DON'T USE SEMI-SKIMMED MILK, IT WILL BE TOTALLY FINE. IT IS NOT A PLAN BY THE PAKISTANIS TO INVADE THE UK.
WARNING: USE SEMI SKIMMED MILK WILL LEAD TO A CONVICTION OF TREASON.
WARNING: THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PAKISTANI TEA AND OTHER SOUTH ASIAN TEAS IS PROBABLY THE SPICES OR A SLIGHT CHANGE IN METHOD.

The party that want "freedom from the state" are now calling for punishment of putting milk in first when making tea and cereal.

This joke bill is a complete joke.

How do you define "female"? If a biologically male person identifies as "female" and produces white liquid, does it make that "milk"?

Actually, there's a study done on that and the researchers found that it's indeed better to milk in first, as everything will get more even, so Aph is not entirely wrong.

It doesn't mean it's not terrorism or treason though.
