I am looking to collect information to help decide whether to accept an offer from either Nottingham or Sussex. If anyone has any knowledge or experience of these places, especially for the purposes of comparison, that would be much appreciated. I was also considering Exeter but have heard that it has a reputation for lacking multiculturalism, diversity, etc - can anyone contradict or confirm this? Thanks (Applied to study BA geography)

I can confirm from friends and from visiting Exeter the reports about the lack of diversity :/

With regards to Sussex and Nottingham, I went to open days for both and have friends at both. Both of my friends are very happy with their courses, but neither were geography :/

For me, I preferred Nottingham BY FAR. The campus is absolutely beautiful, so much green and open space. A lot of their accommodation was refurbished within the last three years and looks fantastic. The architecture of the buildings is lovely too. Bear in mind it is a hilly campus though! There is also s coach from Nottingham to London for £3 with student card.

Sussex was a more cramped campus with buildings quite close together but not too bad, buildings looks like they were built around 1970s. Didn’t get a chance to see any accommodation, but my friend is vey happy with hers (although she’s only been there since September and they’ve already had a couple of insect infestations 😬).

But most importantly look at the course! If you prefer the course at Sussex then go for it, but excluding the course I personally would have gone for Nottingham. Hope this is helpful

    Nottingham
I consider it to fit the definition of a question, yes!
"a sentence worded or expressed so as to elicit information."
I am favouring Sussex at the moment because of the modules on offer and the emphasis of the course on international development. Why would you say Nottingham?
