Well it’s half way through year 10 and i spend my holidays (including October and chrismtas2017 holidays) revising. I always try and do a few hours a week /every other day but am I wasting my time since my GCSEs are in over a year, or is it actually going to benefit me?

Trust me I'm in year 10 too and it will.

Remember it's 100% examination, so you have to memorize everything. You can't cram it all in at once you need to do it over a period of time, little but often

While I couldn't say that it's strictly necessary, it's definitely not a waste of time. If it gets you into good habits now, you'll have no problem when the Summer of Year 11 does come.
