Positive approach- Strengths and weaknesses of the assumptions

I'm writing an essay on the positive approach and how its relevant today. Can someone please help with the strengths and weaknesses of each assumption (Free will, acknowledgement of goodness and focus on the good life).

Also, are their any reasons to why Diener and Seligmen's reasearch with students and their relationships with their friends and family is bad?
