Hi! I’m an Italian girl and I’ll have an interview on the 1st of March as SGUL. In 2017 I practiced horseback riding in a center that has also a part dedicated to hippotherapy. I liked to spend time helping the disabled children to prepare the horses. To do this I stayed 1/2 hours more than the necessary at the center, so I guess it could be considered like voluntary work. I have a doubt. Can I mention it during my interview if there’s the occasion, even if it is not a “formal” work experience?

I think it counts yes. It sounds like good volunteering experience.

Just a couple of things: did you do it long term? And (if necessary) would a supervising person be able to confirm you were formally involved as a volunteer?

I’v been at that center from 2015 to 2017. I think my instructor can’t certificate it for two reasons. First of all I’m not an her student anymore, and second it wasn’t a programmed activity. I only did it when I had time and I wanted, because I like it. Thanks for your answer!
