# Maths help? watch

1. I need help when working out the answer to this trig question. It won’t let me upload an image so I’ll describe it...

The hypotenuse is 6 cm and the opposite is 4 cm. what is angle x? I got 46, but the answer says 42.
2. Well you use sine (opp/hyp) so
sinx=4/6
then use the inverse
sin-1(4/6)=41.8103149=42
3. you might have just typed ir in wrong: )
4. Hi there

From what I can understand they might have done sin x = 4/6 therefore x = sin^-1(4/6)which gives you 41.8103148.
They have most likely rounded to 42.

Hope that helps.
5. Thanks, I had my calc on the wrong mode ....
