I am in love with my best friends dying cousin watch

I am in love with my best friends cousin. She is completely fine about it and knows we both love each other. He has recently found out he has melanoma (skin cancer) but doesn’t want my best friend knowing as he doesn’t want her worrying. I have told a few other friends and they haven’t really said much other than wow that’s awful. I obviously won’t tell her but it is destroying me inside and I have no one to talk to and I’m really struggling. He also told me the last time we spoke that I should try and move on as I should be with someone who can be there for me and right now he can’t. The only thing I wanted to do was tell her and I don’t know when she will find out but anytime she mentions him I get really upset and I don’t know what to tell her when this happens. Any advice? Thanks.

Melanoma is survivable if it's early stage, and hasn't reached the lymph nodes. Early-stage survival rates are 98% over 5 years. You're currently prioritising your need to talk above your friend's request for confidentiality.
