I am currently in my first year of a 2 year Level 3 Media Production course. I want to pursue a career in Media but not sure on any specific job titles etc. Camera Op or Editor.

I have no clue what Universities I should even be looking at. I liked the sound or the National Film School in London but they seem to be very specific in what courses you will be studying.

I am not sure if going to University is even the best option for a career in Film/ Television. Will an apprenteship be better?

You’ve got lots of time to do your research. Get along to a ucas fair in the next couple of months and then book into some open days in may/june/july.

At the same time look at the bfi and creative skillset websites for other information and opportunities. And bbc and c4 both have a range of opportunities for work experience and placements. Try things out, talk to people and visit places. Figure out what you think you might want to do and the best pathway to get there.
