My first two years of high-school (equivalent of GCSE years) were spent at a school in the Cayman Islands that does a US style system
Now, I am in Sixth One in the UK for A-Levels and most universities are asking for at least 5 GCSES, if not more. I'm taking the Maths and English Language GCSEs alongside my A level courses to compliment this, but would I be able to apply with my highschool grades as well? I'm muddying the system here.

If you weren't in a UK style education system at GCSE age then you'll normally only need english and maths. You are best to clarify this directly with the universities you're considering to make sure but it's fairly common (some education systems around the world don't do GCSEs but offer international A levels).

Thank you for giving me some clarity. I assumed that this would be the case, but I could not find many resources about it online.
