How do I achieve a first?

Is it down to how much research I do and comparing other historians views?

Is it me stating my view and bringing up historians to back my claims?

Is it just having a balanced case with my own view in the conclusion?

    What’s worked best for you?

Any tips or experience will be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    1.Have at least 20 references
    2. use evidence for whatever you need to
    3. You have to pick a side, state your position in the introduction, argue your side throughout the essay, in the same paragraph add a counter [opposite argument]

    - Understand fully what you're being asked to do.

    - Depends on the task.

    - Bring up other historians, debate their merits and weaknesses, explain your own position.
