R against 1/I for e.m.f. and internal resistance? watch

    How am I supposed to find the value of e.m.f. and internal resistance from a Resistance against 1/Current graph?

    Are you sure it's V against 1/I ?? The most common graph here is V against I and I don't think V vs 1/I would give you a straight line.

    Take your equation

    Emf = IR + Ir

    or Emf = V + Ir

    Rearraging gives V = Emf - Ir which we compare to y = mx + c

    (It's easier for me if I now rewrite it as V = -Ir + E)

    From that, with V as y and I as x you can find r and E
