    Hello,
I am hoping to attend Solent starting in September, I'll be doing a foundation year first. Currently I am unsure what accommodation to choose. Whether to go to the uni halls, if so what would people suggest to be the best one?
Or go to a private accommodation such as liberty living.

    Hi NiamhMullenW

If you haven't already, I’d check out 52 Things To Do, there’s loads of useful info on getting ready for uni and it’s broken down into manageable chunks. Here’s week 20 in which student accommodation is broken down.

It’s not very specific about Solent’s halls but I can help with that. What is it that you’re looking for? Somewhere lively and hectic or somewhere quiet (as far as student accommodation goes)?

They’re all very different so it depends what you’re after really…

I have a couple of questions regarding the application process for accommodation at Solent:

Are new students likely to get a place in halls if they make Solent their first choice after the 18th of March 2018?

Do students with unconditional offers have priority over those with conditional offers when it comes to room allocation?

Hello, congratulations on your place with Solent!

We are a private accommodation provider, with our building Park House being very close to the main Solent University building - we have many students from your University joining us in September.

Our studios include your own double bed, kitchenette and bathroom, plus a smart TV with Netflix. Also, you'll have access to our student social hub, gym, laundry, and unlimited hot drinks from our machine in the lobby - not to mention our grab-and-go breakfast every morning! As well as this, all bills are included to keep your student life as easy as possible. We are based in the heart of the city, and many of our studios have a beautiful view across the park.

You can find us at www.unilife.co.uk and check out 360° views of our studios, or email [email protected] with any questions.

We'd love to hear from you!
