I'm thinking that I'll do my coursework on the Lord of the Rings. I've seen several people saying they've done so, but I need some help. Should I do it by just analysing the text itself (but what would my question/hypothesis be then), or focus on comparing the original with the edited for spoken-word script version? (ie. What were the changes screenwriters made to the original LotR novel in order to adapt it for the spoken word in 2001?)

    Any ideas??
